Sassco.co.uk had a gruelling four match schedule, and despite Dixon being rudely awoken with a frying pan, and using a player provided by the opponents, they triumphed with a clean sheet in three games and victory in all four.

An early morning trip to the Blue Lagoon relaxed the team no end, along with watching a bloke playing with his groin holding a camera and a bloke giving his wifey a happy ending, under the water. The face masks were off and most needed an afternoon siesta. Dixon overslept, but had a "frying pan" alarm clock.

We decided to walk to the venue, which was Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur's ground, next to the Icelandic National Stadium. The fixed camera was perched as high as possible to avoid Dixon's shots, and the games began.

Game 1 was straightforward, and despite taking a bit of time to get the hang of the heavy 3G pitch, Sassco defeated FC Sækó 4-0 with Gourlay and Scott scoring two each. The game was 7-a-side, so we were provided with a player: Indriði Waage, who was solid enough to slot in.

Game 2 was the difficult one. It was a against the "home" team, Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur. A solitary goal from Gourlay after the defence (Sangha and Cooper in goal) performed magnificently. Dixon was still blazing balls over the bar.

The next game was difficult, but a brace from Gourlay saw off Breiðablik UBK. By this time, we were sick of the standard: "DaveDaveDaveDave!" from Tim, demanding a pass and moving in slow motion.

Finally, the last game was academic, but Ospin fired themselves into a lead from kick off after Gourlay was adjusting his watch. An own goal saw us equalise, but then being 2-1 down, Sassco ran out 6-2 winners. Gourlay with three and Scott with two.

Near miss in the final moment…
